Exciting new possibilities with the upcode™ latest program release
Introducing new functionality as UpCode sign new contracts with GOSS International USA, M-Real, HKL Helsinki and Nordea Bank of Scandinavia.
UpCode is a mobile information system that combines all media. By pointing a camera mobile phone at an UpCode the user can access various contents.
Pay by Phone
An UpCode payment system has been developed in cooperation with the Nordea Bank. Just point and order, pay for tickets, on the spot purchases, and other services e.g. UpCode can also be used for paying invoices and bills.
Travel by Phone
On December 8th 2006, HKL “Helsinki City Transport” will start testing the UpCode at bus stops. By simply pointing at an UpCode the public can find precise bus arrival times. In cooperation with NKL “Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired (FFVI)” a timetable service combining UpCode with directional audio is also being developed.
Print & Packaging
M-Real have commenced the use of UpCode in packaging materials and contracts across Europe. For GOSS International in the USA UpCode have developed unique applications required for their specific markets.
Language recognition
The latest UpCode program also recognizes languages and can the direct the user to a site in their own language.
About UpCode
In all there are over 200 different phone models that automatically support UpCode including for example at the moment 99 Nokia phones that are compatible with UpCode either with the manual or the automatic system with camera. UpCode provides access to text, picture, video clips, games and animations. Additionally all product information and specific interests such as gambling, sports, entertainment, timetables, ticketing services and translations etc. can be delivered direct to mobile.
